The scenario of uncertainty brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic highlights the relevance, in the national context, of public policies that promote Food and Nutritional Security (SAN), such as the Food Acquisition Program (PAA) and the National School Feeding Program (PNAE), which allow family farmers to access the institutional market. The objective of this research was to verify the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on the multiple FNS determinants of family farmers in the municipality of Almirante Tamandaré, through the analysis of socioeconomic, demographic, health, nutritional status and food consumption dimensions. The integrative literature review and the case study were adopted as methodological procedures. It was evident that the COVID-19 pandemic had negative effects on the socioeconomic, health, nutritional status and food consumption of FNS of the family farmers interviewed by making it unfeasible to supply their productions to the local institutional market, mainly to the PNAE.
