Abstract

This research presents an analysis of the concept of Anthropocene, as a new terrestrial era. Furthermore, it analyzes the idea of sustainable development from this new global era, as well as reflecting on a viable conception of the Science of Law, alongside Natural Sciences, capable of facing this new and challenging planetary framework. The text presents three sections, which addresses the Anthropocene, epistemological and environmental issues, in relation to the meaning of sustainable development, as well as describing a legal perspective for a new ecology. As a conclusion, the thesis of a Law for nature is defended, capable of placing itself alongside natural sciences to, in dialogue with radical ecology movements, mediate the production of shared knowledge, with a view to reformulating the normative foundations of environmental law.

Keywords: anthropocene; sustainable development; natural law; quantum law.
